When will my order be delivered if I order now?
Our normal delivery timeframe is:
- 5-10 Days for non-furniture orders like Accessories, Rugs, lamps, and décor.
- 10-14 Days for furniture orders if not on backorder.
Should your order consist of furniture and non-furniture items, the 10–14-day timeframe shall apply. Deliveries occur on weekdays within normal business hours (public holidays excluded).
How much is the delivery fee?
Each product has a specific delivery fee which can be viewed in your Shopping Cart before checkout or discussed with a consultant. We only deliver to the 3 main Cities Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Durban, and are generally 7% of the total cost. Minim Charge for any small delivery is R950 Deliveries to areas outside of these main centers shall be subject to a consultant assisting you and getting a price from the necessary Courier service or discussing an Alternative delivery option or pick up.
Who will deliver my order?
New Edition makes use of reliable contracted third-party transporters with a nationwide network.
During a pre-scheduled 4-hour window, our delivery partners will deliver your boxed or Wrapped furniture at the property entrance, or in the driveway, curb, or unloading area where you have requested. We do not unwrap or take old furniture away or assist in rearranging the house for you brain games sorry. Assembly and packaging disposal are not included (a pallet may be left). We recommend having a friend available at the time of delivery.
How will I know when my order is on its way?
Our distribution Head Office will email tracking details to you as soon as your order has been dispatched. The tracking number may be used to track your parcel directly with the 3rd party courier or with our distribution office. This can be done telephonically.
Anything else I should take note of when my order arrives
It is important that the boxes or wrapped items be checked for visible damages and that the number of items on the waybill corresponds with what has been delivered. Please note that the number of items you have ordered may not sometimes correspond with the number of cartons as more than one item may be packaged in one carton for example two dining chairs may be packaged in one box. Should there be any discrepancy or visible damages, this should be clearly indicated on the waybill and be reported to us within 48 hours from receipt of the order.
